Quality Control:
The quality control department insures that all the products Wellmike produces are in accordance with ISO regulations and our own strick regulations. There are three types of quality control. These include IQC (Incoming Quality Control), IPQC (In-Process Quality Control), and QR (Quality Control reassurance).
IQC is performed for the materials we use to create our products. When products are shipped to us, they fit into one of 57 material categories (screws, key chains, color boxes, etc.). ISO regulations determine the method of testing and the AQL's (Acceptable Quality Levels) for each product. The number pieces we have determines how many are inspected. The AQL is divided into two groups. One is the major discrepencies and another is the minimum discrepencies. If the group of products have less than the maximum number of discrepencies in each groups, then and only then may they be used for Wellmike's products.
IPQC occurs during production. This process involves several groups of people. One of these groups are the Production Engineers. Their office is within the factory, right next to the assembly lines. These people are responsible for the technical issues that occur on the assembly lines. Once the assembly has been completed, another group of quality control personnel inspects the completed products at random. They make sure that the products to be shipped are up to our customers requests and standards.
QR personnel test our products. Certain tests are always done on our products. These include high temperature, low temp, drop test (with and without packaging), capability of the switches, and waterproof tests. Other tests such as the NT interface test can be performed if the customer so requests.
